What We Did

The Brownsword Hotel collection comprises of twelve properties in both city centre and countryside locations. Hotels include The Slaughters Manor House in the Cotswolds, 900-year old Amberley Castle in West Sussex, Bath Priory and the Abode Hotels, situated in the heart of Canterbury, Chester, Exeter, Glasgow and Manchester.

We rebuilt and designed 12 property websites and 1 group website with a unifying consistent brand feel. The key objectives were to generate revenue through room bookings, increase dining reservations, increase engagement, sell gift vouchers and generate enquiries for conference and weddings.

We successfully launched fully responsive websites for the Brownsword Group and Abode properties.

With a focus on clear brand messaging, the group website oozes a sophisticated quality and guides the user on a seamless journey. This is achieved through quality screen-wide imagery, a contemporary, classic design and intuitively positioned menus and call to actions.

The user can navigate from the homepage using a menu located in the top right corner, or scroll down to discover categories, newsletter sign up form, social links and links to group hotels.

Clockwork have been fantastic at tailoring the CMS for our needs which actually evolved with the project beyond the initial brief. Their experience with hotel website design and build really helped with understanding the many different commercial facets.
