We were proud to attend their AGM last year and be part of those discussions in person. Helping tackle overtourism
One of the most important ways Travel By B Corp does this is through a number of different Shared Impact Project, or SHIPs, focused on various focus areas including overtourism. We joined the group working on a playbook designed to help marketing teams across the wider hospitality sector tackle this issue in a more informed and responsible way.
The playbook is still in development, but will be an important piece of actions-led work to effect real change on the ground. Overtourism is one of the biggest challenges facing many destinations. When visitor growth becomes unbalanced, the impact can be felt everywhere. Local communities can feel overwhelmed. Infrastructure can come under pressure. Natural environments can suffer. Even the guest experience can be affected.
Why this matters for hospitality
